Interesting video on Time Crystals that I was previously not aware of. These are super interesting devices that oscillate with out using external power, but do not violate the laws of themodynamics:

There is a nice article in `wiki:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_crystal

As I understand it a time crystal exists in its base quantum state as two values and oscillates between these two values, consuming no power doing so and also does now allow the power of the oscillation to be extracted. However, the oscillation behaviour has potential for quantum computers as covered in the video.

All of this seems seriously weird, but is very like, as far as i understand it, the existence of atoms with electron orbitals that in classical theory should not exist, as according to Maxwell’s equations the electrons that are moving in circles and hence accelerating and should radiate to a lower state, but there are no lower states in the atom, so one has electrons in orbits and atoms.

Super fascinating to study this and to consider the possible applications, as noted in the video, for quantum computation.
