6 looks a bit like a plumbers copper pipe cutter, not quite the same but it looks as if you can set it for different diameter tubes and then scribe or cut them.

It does look like a cutter and it is adjustable. There is a very important difference, however.

To clarify, the blade does cut but it is not a pipe cutter or anything similar.

The markings on the left say "L&NER" and, on the right, "BLTN". On the side further around to the right is the number "14".

Very much a guess, but is 6 some sort of device for producing a hollow in a piece of wood, e.g. for a tobacco pipe? Or a hole in the side of one, e.g. for a woodwind instrument?

I have tried and have therefore eliminated anything to do with caviar/fish eggs etc as you said not food related. Similarly the person that uses it is not a fish but perhaps a fisherman. I'm still no closer to the answer.

Anything to do with silk plucking (that word is incorrect) or seeds?

1) An upturned metal planter of some sort? The presently upper part to hold the bulbs.

Nothing to do with fishermen, fishmongers, fish anything-else. The meaning of the non-fish clue will be clear when you know the answer. The person who uses this is not an oily fish.

It is actually just the wrong way around, not upturned. (The claw should be on the ground.) It is not garden-related.
