I'll watch the video when I have time, but the Fletton brick is rubbish quality, cheap and cheerful, except nowadays not so cheap. AIUI it is made from clay which contains some organic matter, which burns on firing reducing the amount the energy needing to be input (hence it is cheaper to make than other bricks). But burning out the organic matter leaves cracks and voids which enable water to enter. Hence it is not a durable frost proof brick.
