HMRC online services after a death

Assume a person dies on, say 1st February 23.
His HMRC tax account and payments are all done online.
The ‘first payment on account’ for 2022-23 tax year had been made, with the second one due 31st July pending until nearer the date.
DAK how HMRC handles the online account and payments of such a person? Since assets and liabilities fall to the estate from the date of death and any Finance LPA that may have existed has immediately become void, are:
a. the dead person’s online service (accessed via the Government Gateway)
and/or
b. personal tax account with HMRC (the one with the 11 character ID)
frozen?

For the estates I have administered I could not do much online. That includes a very recent one. My wife's uncle died in July and I had to do a paper form for 2022, then another up to the date of death. I asked about online filing, but was told that I could do it, but would have to buy third party software.
